Hopefully, everyone was able to take time to enjoy the 4th of July holiday and celebrate our country’s birthday. It wasn’t too exciting at our house. Now that Joan and I are empty nesters, our 4th of July activities included sitting at a park for 2 hours to enable us to watch a 20 minute fireworks' display. I think I just figured out why our kids don’t spend time with us on the 4th any more!!
I am pleased to announce a new addition to our sales team. Chris Ludlow-Young has been hired as an Equine Specialist who will be working with me and a select group of dealers. Chris has been working with Purina dealers in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area for over a year. During that time, she has been instrumental in helping these dealers grow their horse feed business. Chris will officially start her new role on July 16th.
ADVANCED EQUINE TRAINING WORKSHOP ------- Please look in the Horse section of this newsletter for information on the upcoming training workshop for sales people, dealers and counter sales personnel. The workshop will be held in St. Joe, so we can join forces with dealers in the Kansas and Missouri area. Dr. Katie Young will be on hand along with Chris Goodwin. Chris is a marketing manager for our corporate horse business group in St. Louis. We have tried to set the workshop’s hours so they are convenient for dealers coming from a distance.
