March 19, 2007
Volume 2, Number 3

As you look at this month’s price list, don’t let sticker shock get the best of you and your attitude!  Ingredient prices have skyrocketed the past few months, and so have our formulas.  Rest assured that during these times, premium products really make economics work to your advantage! Less feed to get the performance needed is what our company is based on, and commodity feeds have gone up as well.  Poor feed conversions, tied to a higher price for them quickly put the “cheap feeds” at a disadvantage.  Continue to sell the premium products you have in your arsenal, and remember to sell the benefits of these premium products; the customers will keep using them.

Remember to build displays and merchandise your products, whether it be horse, minerals for grass tetany, show feeds, chicken, deer, or pet foods. Displays always sell more for you, great displays are 400% increased sales versus no display and just having it on the floor. Imagine what the difference is when it is hidden in the dark warehouse!!

Let’s continue to work together to do training meetings for all your employees, producer meetings, and key account sales calls, and work on setting up feeding trials. Don’t let spring pass you by without learning about a new product, program, or even a refresher with your key products.

Have a great month; as always, call if you have questions!

Good selling,

Lee
